1.3.6 Features

I thought today I'd do something a little different and write about Warhammer Online's upcoming 1.3.6 patch.  I know, totally unpredictable.  Patches are usually categorized by their biggest feature.  1.3.6 will probably be known as the Sovereign patch, but there is a lot more to it.

NOTE: Part 2 is up.

The Auction House will be seeing some UI changes in the new patch.  They are stripping out some of the lesser used functionality in order to make it more sleek.  That includes the auction functionality, so everything will be Buy Out.  Only a single duration, 48 hours, is available as well.

I'm not really worried about losing the auction aspect.  Only a very small percentage of my AH listings were every actually bid on.  I usually just bought out other people's auctions too, being the impatient Dwarf that I am.

In the middle of a fight, have you ever lost your target due to a stray click?  In 1.3.6 Mythic is introducing a Sticky Targeting option.  When enabled, mouse clicks will no longer clear your target if done on empty space.  You can find it on the User Settings -> General tab.

One of the big features of the upcoming patch is sovereign armor set re-itemization.  Instead of a single set, there will now be two for each arch-type.  What happens to the Sovereign you may already have?  It will turn into the "Primary" set of the arch-type.  In case you did not want that set, Mythic has added a way to exchange it for the secondary set by using new armorsmith NPC's.

Order's armorsmith can be found near the Guild Hall in the War Quarters while Destruction's is in the Undercroft.

Players will now be able to join a party (if it is open) by right clicking a user's name in the chat box.  Small change, but a welcome one.  I'm always a fan of less clicks and button presses to get something done.

That's it for now.  There is too much for one post, so expect part two of WAR's 1.3.6 patch features soon.
