Felicia the Flamekissed

Another one of the announced heroes for Wrath of Heroes is Felicia.  She is a Bright Wizard who specializes in  blowing stuff up with fire.  BioWare Mythic has started to release some promo videos for each hero called the Armory, which so far are very cool.  Read on for more details about Felicia and a video.

This post was supposed to go up yesterday, but Hurricane Irene decided that I didn't need electricity.  Now I am all caught up with PAX news though, so life can continue.  On Saturday,  there was a panel held to talk about Wrath of Heroes.  Continue on for some more details and a video.

Mining Design

The new version of Stellar Fortune is moving along nicely.  Players can now buy from one dock and sell at another.  There is also now a way to view prices without being docked, which certainly helps when you want to trade.  Over the past few days I have been working on a new feature for the game, Mining.

August Producer's Letter

Last week, just as Gamescom started, Mythic released a new Producer's Letter for Warhammer Online.  Not by coincidence, it was released along with the announcement of Wrath of Heroes.  The letter primarily talks about WAR Live though.

Now that Wrath of heroes has been officially announced, Mythic has started to release some information about the Heroes themselves.  Most of this is happening on their Facebook account so stop by there for a visit.  Otherwise, read on for more about a Greenskin hero, Bax Dreadtoof.

News from the Front: I need a Hero

It was a pretty slow week as far as news.... oh wait, no it wasn't.  This week at Gamescom, BioWare Mythic announced their new game, Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes.  It's a spin off of Warhammer Online, but is free to play and focuses on scenario gameplay.

Keep Defense Details

Amid all of the Wrath of Heroes commotion, WAR Developer Keaven Freeman posted details about how they plan on improving Keep Defenses.  In WAR's current state, there is a lot of apathy when it comes to defending keeps.  Will these new changes help fix that?

Wrath of Heroes: The Heroes

Yesterday, I wrote about what Wrath of Heroes is.  Today I thought I'd write about my impressions of Wrath from my experiences playing, specifically the Heroes.  In early July, myself and other bloggers were invited down to Mythic to check this out.  I think we played at least 6 games of Wrath of Heroes.

Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes

Today at Gamescom, BioWare Mythic announced a new game called Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes.  You might remember that a few weeks ago several bloggers, including myself, were invited down to the Mythic HQ.  I wrote that we saw something pretty significant, and this is it.  Read on for more details about Wrath of Heroes.

WAR meets MineCraft

From the forums....

LoyalPet

Recently, I noticed that a WAR add-on, LoyalPet, was no longer available on Curse.  I'm not sure why it was taken down, but it is gone.  Since this is a valuable tool to the pet community, I've placed the copy I have up on the Arsenal of WAR.  You can find it here:

http://www.arsenalofwar.com/images/LoyalPet.zip

It's the copy I had, so I'm not sure if it was the latest available.

EDIT:  It is actually available on Curse, but buried: http://war.curseforge.com/addons/lpet/

Thanks Varonth!

Lord of the Rings Slot Machine

I have returned from my mini-vacation, which explains the lack of post yesterday.  It was fun, except for me underestimating the power of the sun even with an umbrella.  One night, we hit up a casino.  I'm not a big gambler, but I try and get my monies worth out of the place.  While walking the aisles, I cam across a Lord of the Rings slot machine.

News from the Front: Sunday Edition

Much like the Sunday paper, this edition of News from the Front is rather hefty.  I'm sorry to say you will not find any coupons in here though.  With the 1.4.4 patch due at the end up the month, we are starting to get more details about what we'll see.  Along with the game conferences Mythic will be attending, it's turning out to be an exciting month.

Return of the Fortresses

The highlight of Warhammer Online's 1.4.5 (1.4.3 is current)  patch will be the return of Fortresses to the game.  They were removed a while ago for a number of reasons.  Performance and just not being fun were the two main ones.  Players have long wished for fights to return to these epic locations, and they soon will.

The Next Generation

Last week, I mentioned that it was time to start over with Stellar Fortune.  I just wasn't very happy with the direction of the game.  Since then, I have made good progress on the new version.  It is actually very different from the original, but I think it has potential.  Continue on for a look at the new Stellar Fortune and testing details.

Supreme Ruler Cold War

Ever since I played Nobunaga's Ambition on my Uncle's NES, I have been hooked on strategy games.  Sadly, most of the genre revolves around World War 2.  Then there is Battlegoat Studios, who specialize in more modern games.  Their latest release focuses on 1949 onward and the cold war.
