Watch the LCS on your TV

Season 3 of League of Legends is upon us, and that means matches to watch nearly every week!  Now watching it on the computer is all well and good, but what about from your couch on your TV?  Getting twitch to work on the PS3 and 360 is quite a pain and often does not work.  Moving your computer is also a pain.

I've started using my Xoom tablet to watch LoL on my 42in TV.  This is a couple year old tablet, but it has a mini-HDMI port.  After a quick run to Radio Shack (or an Amazon Order) for a Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable I was all set.  Just plugged my tablet into the TV and it was ready to go. I watched it at 480p, but probably could have went up to 720p... they were having stream troubles, so I wasn't sure if it was me or them.

The only adjustment I had to make to the tablet was its power-saving feature for shutting off the display.  I set it to max, sat back and enjoyed the show.  A lot of phones now have mini-HDMI ports, so those will work too.

The LCS is also now being live streamed on Youtube, so if your TV or DVD player has youtube support, this is yet another option to watch it on your TV.  I have not tried that out, although I may today as I think my Blu-Ray player does Youtube.  The PS3 and 360 also have Youtube apps, so those are possible options too.

I still think G4 or Spike TV should show the LCS, ah well, maybe someday.
