August is for WAR

The month of August is shaping up to be a crazy (and hopefully awesome) month for Warhammer Online.  Not only is the 1.3.6 patch likely going live but something else is lurking in the shadows.  I dare not utter its name for fear of angering the gods.  The darkness hides its form, but something is there.

Those of you who follow twitter may know that a few WAR developers, including Andy and WAR's Producer, Carrie, are off to the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany.  In fact, they are eager to give interviews about why they are there.

In last months Producer's Letter, Carrie wrote that they hope to have some exciting news for us by the end of summer.  Gamescom just happens to be take place from August 18th to the 22nd.  That would certainly qualify as 'by the end of summer.'  There is also a Gamesday in Baltimore on the 21st which I hear will have a Mythic presence as well.

I think it is safe to say something out of the ordinary will be happening in August.  Rumors about it have been increasing steadily over the last few months.  Most of them have been centered around some sort of magical talking rat.  Come on, that's just silly!
