News from the Front: Trick or Treat

Sadly, I'm all out of candy.  Instead, I'll be giving out some links!  With the drop of the Wrath of Heroes NDA, articles and videos of the game have started to appear.  A number are these are by WAR blogger types and other players.  Let's get down to business!

6v6v6.com.  While there may not be an official forum for Wrath of Heroes, Garaawarr has started up his own community site.  It's in beta this weekend, so head on over to 6v6v6.com and check it out.

The Arena.  Mykiel put together a video of some action in The Arena.

BETA Gameplay.  Yours truly also did a video, with the added bonus (or burden) of some commentary.  I mostly play Felicia and talk about what Wrath of Heroes is.

Zathis.  Mykiel has been busy.  In this video he shows off one of the new heroes, Zathis the Dark Elf Assassin.    There is also a lot of other interesting info about the hero.

Skins.  Waaagh.de put together all of the available skin options for heroes.  Customize the look of your hero!  This is still beta, so this might not be all of the options.

WoH at GDC.  Mmorpg.com has an article from GDC up about Wrath of Heroes.

More Video!  Some nice quality video from youtube during yesterday's beta session.  Features Zathis and Conrad the Warrior Priest.

News from the Front: TREEmendous

I've decided to use the News from the Front for Wrath of Heroes, as well as Warhammer Online.  There are only so many post title variations of Update, Beta and News that I could make.  Not too much going on with WAR at the moment, so this one is mostly about Wrath.

News from the Front: I need a Hero

It was a pretty slow week as far as news.... oh wait, no it wasn't.  This week at Gamescom, BioWare Mythic announced their new game, Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes.  It's a spin off of Warhammer Online, but is free to play and focuses on scenario gameplay.

News from the Front: Sunday Edition

Much like the Sunday paper, this edition of News from the Front is rather hefty.  I'm sorry to say you will not find any coupons in here though.  With the 1.4.4 patch due at the end up the month, we are starting to get more details about what we'll see.  Along with the game conferences Mythic will be attending, it's turning out to be an exciting month.

News from the Front: Location, Location, Location

This week marked the end of the Sigmartide Live Event.  I thought it was pretty fun, but lets save that for another post.  Even though the College of Corruption has left us, the Gates of Ekrund remains for the weekend.  Most of my WAR time was spent doing scenarios, very close to my first RR81 weapon. What else has been going on?

News from the Front: It's back, sorta

That's right, after a long hiatus the News from the Front is back.  It won't be weekly, but I figure it's a more appropriate name than WAR Potpourri.  It'll just cover some miscellaneous info that was not quite deserving of its own post or I just didn't have the time to make one.

News from the Front: The cost of WAR

I have played a lot of WAR this week.  My Engineer hit RR 75 and is well on his way to 76.  I end up gaining around 50k renown an hour by soloing with AAO and defending keeps.  Order on Badlands always seems to be on the defensive, at least during my play times. On to the community news!

News from the Front: Vacation Over

After a few weeks off, News from the Front has returned!  Since it was a slow few weeks, he decided to take off to some tropical destination.  Of course, News from the Front left me here in the cold.  But now that WAR is picking back up, it is time to get going again.

News from the Front: Lackadaisical Edition

It seems an illness is moving through our household.  As usual, I think it is a Destruction plot to keep me on the sidelines.  As a result, News from the Front will be a bit short this week.  I think lackadaisical is the longest word ever used on this blog, that's news isn't it?

News from the Front: It's back!

After a two week hiatus, News from the Front has returned.  With the Thanksgiving holiday last week, things have been a bit slow.  The post-new content lull hasn't helped much either.  Mythic is in bug fixing mode, so I am not expecting anything really exciting for a while.  What is the community up to?

News from the Front: The best armor

The best armor is to keep out of range.  In case you can't, there is a lot of new armor to choose from in Warhammer Online.  During the PTS event held on Wednesday night, players got their first look at the Doomslayer and Warpforged armor sets.  New gear does indeed bring in the crowds, as Mythic's PTS server filled up.

News from the Front: Matchmaking!

Well, it has been quite a week for WAR.  Plenty of news to talk about and the blogosphere shows it.  This weeks News from the Front will focus on it.  I'm going to take the weekend to think about it and will have some opinions to share next week.  In a surprise twist, Andy revealed some very interesting news last night.

NOTE: RvR Pack pricing announced!  Both for $15 usd.

News from the Front: Take that, you dirty Rat!

I'm gonna give you to the count of 10 to get your ugly, yellow, no-good keister off my property before I pump your guts full of lead! One, two, ten!  Sorry, Home Alone has been on a lot in my house.   There have been 2 testing sessions this week and a third happening this afternoon.  The Skaven are really starting to come together.

News from the Front: New Stuff

It has been one of those mornings, so the title is especially not creative.  The big topic in the WAR community has been all of the new stuff up on the PTS.  A lot of 1.4's equipment can be viewed but not used yet.  I'm still surprised how fast Mythic is moving on this, it'll be live before we know it!

News from the Front: Return of the Banhammer

Well, sorta.  Mythic added right click spam reporting and escalation, so I hope spammers will get what's coming to them.  My game time has been split this week between my Badlands Engineer and my Karak Norn Black Orc.  Having a lot of fun on both characters.  What is the community up to?

News from the Front: PTS!

This has been an exciting week for Warhammer Online. Parts of the 1.4 patch (RvR Pack) were brought up on the Public Test Server.  This includes the new Open RvR system, mounts and other improvements.  Be sure to hop on and look around.

News from the Front: October!

It was has been an interesting week for WAR.  Andy traveled to the UK GamesDay event and dropped some new information on Skaven.  Then it was somehow the end of the month already and we got a Producer's Letter.  Was there anything interesting in it? Yes....

News from the Front: Happy Anniversary

This week marked the second anniversary of Warhammer Online.  In celebration, Mythic held a double XP/Renown weekend (last weekend), which resulted in a ton of action.  They also unveiled some special items for two year vets.  Two years already, time flies.

News from the Front: Neglecting Reach

It has been a pretty uneventful week.  I played on my main for the most part.  Some more work on the Arsenal was done too.  Expect to see user uploaded images next week.  Halo Reach is sitting neglected on my desk for the time being.  Hopefully I can get some time in this weekend on it.  Next week Civ 5 arrives! On to the WAR community.

News from the Front: I like to move it

Not a lot going on this week compared to the last few.  The biggest news was the good possibility of some kind of mobile siege weaponry in ORvR.  Who wouldn't like to strategically position a big cannon?  The Wild Hunt live event will be wrapping up soon, so get to work!
